Rochon was born and raised in Torrance. Rochon is the child of Zelma Staples (a nurse practitioner) as well as Samuel Staples (a businessman and graphic artist). Cerritos high school in Cerritos is where she received her degree from. Ullerup first made an appearance in Battlestar Galactica remake, the Sci Fi Channel's 2006 television show. She played Julia Brynn. She portrayed Ashley Magnus on the Sanctuary show on television in the first season and the second one until it was canceled. Fans wanted her back, even though the show had been cancelled. Ullerup was later cast as Bree O'Brien for Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup played Maggie Thomas, the estranged spouse to Michael Thomas, in the film about the disaster Asteroid: Final Impact (2015). Ullerup plays the part in the film as Dale Travers, is one of the characters that have appeared in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films since the year 2016.
